We are always looking for people interested in joining our organization.
AMSUT was formed in the fall of 1988 and was recognized by U of T in the spring as an offical campus group. The original
founders of AMSUT were Elizabeth Dimovska, Lila Dobrusevski, Kathy Litsas, Sophie Jolevski, Suzanna Mangovski, Bob Markovski,
Kosta Milankov, Mark Opashinov, Andy Plukov, Andy Penuvchev and Valentina Trajkovski.
AMSUT was the first Macedonian university youth group to start, and soon organized dances and political activites that
hosted over 200 people per event. Many of these events included the annual boat cruise, New Year's Eve parties, political
parades and protests, the annual Caravan cultural festival and Ilinden picnics. AMSUT also helped donate time and money into
the Macedonian language program at the downtown campus.
Currently, AMSUT's newest members are embarking on the same paths as their predecessors and keeping the cause and vision
liable. They are active in bringing about positive changes within their respective communities, creating cohesion among all
Macedonian youth organizations and establising stronger ties between socail, cultural and political characteristics of what
it is to be Macedonian.
